The weekend was filled with fun and a lot of great deals.
Friday night Dave and I went to the new movie theater with intentions of seeing W, but the projector was broken and they weren't able to show it. We got to pick another movie for free and got a free ticket for anytime we wanted to come back. We saw Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist instead, which was really cute. I enjoyed the soundtrack, and the movie overall really made me miss living in NJ and being able to go to NY.
Saturday, we went to the USF homecoming game. Kickoff was at 12, so we got there around 9:15 to tailgate. All the tailgaters were making eggs and drinking beer. When I was in high school, my Dad always would say to my friends and me that when we turned 21 he'd make us beer and eggs. Well he never did, so I had to do it myself, lol. It was so hot at the game, and we all forgot sunscreen, so we got super burned. i have an awesome farmer tan, haha. They won the game, so we are still ranked. I was worried we wouldn't be after the performance 2 weeks ago. No tailgating for 3 weeks makes me sad, but it should make it even better when we do.
After the game, we went home, showered because we felt gross from being outside, then went to Texas Roadhouse. We were starving at that point, so we figured why not use our free appetizer coupon. We came home to watch the Rays game, where effing Boston tied it up. GRR, I knew they were gonna take it to game 7! I ended up not watching all of it because I was really tired, sunburned, and all day had the worst heartburn of my life.
Sunday morning Dave and I went to the usual breakfast place. We got there right as they opened and they didn't have what i ordered, so the cook let me order something else and took my meal off the tab. Sweet, another deal! I worked with Melissa at the portrait studio. I had a really great sale of $385. I later found out that the guy I was selling to was one of the Tampa Bay Bucs linemen at one time (Cosey Coleman) I'm not sure if he still plays or not, but Dave heard of him a few years ago when he was working as a public deffender. Apparently, this guy got into an argument with his wife and hit her, then got thrown in Orient Rd. jail for awhile. NICE. The guy was actually pretty nice to me and his kids were super cute and well behaved.
After work, I met Dave, his mom, and his grandma at a restaurant inside the mall. we ate yummy pizza, then afterwards went to Wal-mart to look for pez, then back to Dave's to watch game 7. RAYS WON BABY! ALL THE WAY TO THE WORLD SERIES WE GO! I'm so glad we beat Boston. I don't really have a thing against Boston, but I was rooting for the Rays all year. The Rays are one of the lowest paid teams in the league and have never been good, so it just proves if you have the heart you can make it all the way. I'm so excited for the World Series.
We're in the world series baby!!!
OMG, this game is so nerve racking!
