I can't believe Thanksgiving was almost a week ago. Things lately have been flying by at the speed of light and I feel like I can't keep up.
Thanksgiving I ate a ton of food...and desert. But I guess that is expected. Dali enjoyed the ranch so much as soon as she got in the car she went to sleep and slept the entire hour and 15 minute ride home.
Dave got me up at 3:30 on Friday to go shopping. I was NOT excited, but I ended up getting a lot of presents, so I'm glad I went. We started at JC Penney, then Macy's, Wal-Mart, Target, back to JC Penney (Dave forgot that he wanted to get his Dad something there) breakfast, K-mart, home to take a nap, then to the Orlando Prime outlets, IKEA, then the Orlando Premium outlets. I was exhausted. I don't like shopping and I really don't like crowds. I was nervous pretty much the entire time. I really need to work on my social anxiety.
Saturday I went to work. It wasn't nearly as busy as I expected, so I got to leave early. We went to Mackenzie's party. I mistakenly thought it was Friday and wasn't sure if I was going to be able to go, so I'm glad I got out early. She was cute and had so much fun. Tons of Hannah Montana stuff. Is it wrong that I'm so jealous of Miley Cyrus, a 16 year old girl? She has SO MUCH money. After party #1 we headed to Tampa for Rick's party that Corrie decided to throw him last minute. We drank captain and coke, laughed, and watched Caitlin, Lauren, and Theo play guitar hero and sing Disney melodies like morons. Fun times.
Sunday was also slow. I got out early again, came back to Dave's and just kind of relaxed for a little bit. We went to my parents house for dinner since I didn't see them Thanksgiving. Ate a lot of food and leftover pumpkin pie. It was fun times. I feel guilty for not seeing my parents more, but it's hard when I work 7 days a week and they live like an hour away.
Monday was a normal day. Worked like usual, then went to Dave's. I'll be glad when he is finally all stiched up and I have the option of sleeping in my own bed if I want. Should be next week. I practiced my presentation for portfolio review and went to bed kind of early. I wanted to get to school early so I could practice some more.
Yesterday was a good day. My presentation was funny. During my speech all the computers shut down. Since we were showing our online portfolio, a computer was neccessary. Of course this happens to ME and no one else, lol. I didn't let it get to me though and just showed the rest of my stuff through my portfolio book. My professor said I did well even with the technology failure. (He also said he swear he didn't plan for that to happen, haha) After school I headed to work. It was a fairly light day so I did what I needed to do for clients and started my redesign for our company site. My boss has been asking for something from the designers for like 2 weeks, but we've been busy with clients. I like the way it came out. After work I hung out with Jenn for a few hours. She's been a little down lately because she misses her mom. Her mom passed away a few months ago and the holidays have been getting to her. So we went to the new mall and hung out at the bar. She bought a jacket at Forever 21 for $22.50 because she was freezing. i almost got one too. It was really cold last night. We talked about boys, school, and the possibility of moving out of the area. Then we went to Moe's and I got takeout for Dave and I.
I feel caught up now.
